How the Wrong Mat Sabotages Your Aim
A mat with variations in glide, micro-snags, or that moves during rallies forces your brain to constantly compensate. The result: less precision, more fatigue. The solution is a uniform and stable mat.
Choosing the Right Rug for Your Style
Aim style Speed / arm aimer (low DPI, large movements)
You need a smooth, frictionless glide across the entire surface.
-
Vortex — Ultra Speed TW, 50x50 cm, Poron MID base. The fastest glide in the range, in a square format that maximizes playing space.
-
ZX1 Black / ZX1 White — Hybrid Speed, 49x42 cm, Poron Soft base. Very responsive with slightly more control than the Vortex.
Aim style Control / wrist aimer (high DPI, short movements)
You need resistance to stop your movements with precision.
-
JX2 White Flames — Control Jacquard, 49x42 cm, Poron Soft base. The Jacquard texture offers very precise and consistent resistance.
-
JX1 ProControl — Control Soft XL, designed for competitive esport gaming.
-
JX2 Red Flames — Control Soft, 49x42 cm, epic Tyron White edition.
Finding your optimal sensitivity
The ideal sensitivity allows you to aim comfortably across the entire surface without lifting your mouse.
- You often run off the mat → switch to the Vortex (50x50 cm) or reduce your DPI
- You constantly overshoot → switch to a Control surface (JX2 White or JX1)
- Your aim is inconsistent depending on the direction → your mousepad might be worn out
Training without the right tools is a waste of time
Kovaak's, Aimlabs, these tools are only powerful if your surface is stable. Choose the right model according to your profile, and your aim progression will be directly more effective.
